Located in rural York Township on 11 partially wooded acres, Country Kennel offers a quiet, and spacious setting for your pet’s vacation stay.
Esther Mathia and her husband Horst fulfilled their lifelong dream and established Country Kennel as a family business in 1975. In 1976, Esther’s son Mark started helping out part time with training and kennel duties, and eventually came on board full time in 1978. Mark acquired ownership of the operation in 1987, and remains today as an active owner. Esther, though retired, still lives on site and enjoys visiting with clients, staff, and the boarding pets daily.
Our staff of three full time and three part time employees have been with us anywhere from three to 26 years. You and your pet are sure to see a familiar face every time you visit.
